It's been 25 years since Tara Singh and his wife Sakeena left Pakistan amidst the partition conflict to start a new life together in India. Everything was going perfect until Charanjeet, his son, set off to live in Lahore amidst the 1971 Indo-Pakistan conflict. Determined to reunite his family, Tara Singh marches forward in the face of rebellion to bring his beloved son back home.

Sunny Deol & Ameesha Patel reunite on-screen after 22 years for Gadar 2
Gadar 2 is a Hindi period-drama action film directed and produced by Anil Sharma. Serving as a direct sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, the second most watched film in India since the 90s as per box office records. The film is set 25 years after the first film documenting the 1971 Crush India movement. Similar to the first film, the story of and screenplay of the film has been written by Shaktiman Talwar, and the cinematography has been handled by Najeeb Khan.
Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel return to play the role of the loveable interfaith couple Tara Singh and Sakeena in Gadar 2. Former child-actor Utkarsh will also be seen making a comeback as Charanjeet, Singh family’s grown-up son. The highly anticipated sequel is all set to release in cinemas on 11th August, 2023.
